If you have new and/or gently used children’s books to donate, we’re accepting donations at Shedpoint, 1212 34 Avenue SE (Bay 120), in Calgary on Saturday, September 6 2025 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. We accept Baby Board Books, Picture, Chapter and Young Adult books.
Friday, September 19 – Little Red Reading Van Pop-up at North Glenmore Park
The Little Red Reading Van will be at North Glenmore Park on September 19 between 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Come visit us to explore our mobile collection of books and enjoy read-alongs.
Thursday, September 25 – Owerko Centre Community Connections Event
| The Little Red Reading House is proudly stewarded by the Owerko Centre at the University of Calgary. You are invited to join us on Thursday, September 25 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Child Development Centre for a free open house to discover some of the incredible work that Owerko Centre researchers are doing to advance important discoveries in neurodevelopment, mental health and child health. This event is for children, youth, families and individuals interested in learning more about the Owerko Centre at the University of Calgary and discovering some of the impact that science and research have on our community. Join us for presentations, kid-friendly activities, food & drink, and opportunities to learn more about science and research. |
